Kurgo Skybox Booster Seat: The Skybox Booster Seat by Kurgo reminds me of the Weasley tent at the Quidditch tournament in one of the Harry Potter books. From the outside it looks like a two-person tent, but inside are multiple rooms.

The Skybox holds dogs weighing up to 30 pounds, and at first glance it seems as if a dog that size would be too big for it. But when I took a closer look as I put 12-pound Harper in it today, I saw that she only takes up about half the space inside it. She seems quite comfortable in it and rides either lying down or with her head resting on the edge. We placed it in the back seat for safety reasons, but it can be attached to any seat, with or without a headrest.

The Reluctant Installer, aka my husband, Jerry, said it was easy to assemble and attach to the seat. If you have a split rear seat, he recommends placing the car seat in the widest seat section for the best fit.

The carrier is sturdy and well made. It comes with two pockets in the front, although I’m not sure what would fit in them. A pair of Doggles, maybe? A fabric liner and quilted seat pad are both removable for easy cleaning. A short tether attaches to the dog’s harness — not the collar — to prevent roaming and help protect the dog in the event of an accident.

Dimensions of the Skybox Booster Seat are 16 inches x 9 inches x 13 inches and it is available at retail pet supply outlets nationwide. For more information, visit kurgo.com.
